The Rocks and Wier Wood Reservoir, East Grinstead

Finding beautiful locations to take photographs is always a challenge. And unfortunately it’s not something a lot of photographers tend to share, at least not that I have found. You can have some luck searching hash tags on instagram or searching forums, but they are not always that rewarding. So I thought I’d start by sharing some of my favourite locations to photograph.

Sussex is a funny little place, sometimes hidden paths lead to vast panoramic views, and they are easy to miss unless you know where to look or have endless amounts of time to follow your curiosity.

The Rocks down by the Wier Wood reservoir is one of those spots. I am sure all the locals know it, but if your just travelling through it is certainly a sight worth seeing and one that is easily missed. Here you can see a couple of shots I took, in late autumn, both down by the Wier Wood Reservoir and up on the rocks overlooking it. There is also a beautiful tree tunnel that is worth seeing.
